TO WALK WITH WISDOM; A CONDITION OF COMPROMISE...

Inside is a seed of all I once was and ever will be. The potential lays dormant waiting for the spring rains to fall and summer sun to shine. Ready to blossom and grow into the most beautiful flower imaginable. Can I wait this long? I feel as though it has been lifetimes, before I ever walked this earth, that dreams were once formed. Starting as an image formed on the inner soul of my spirit. The part of me that is timeless, that withstands all this earth has to bear. Feeling inside it is time to break free of all bonds, to let go. To finally be at peace, no matter what. A challenge when body and emotions pull me in directions I would rather leave behind. When I think the pain is over, it begins again in another guise. Surely there is an end to the continual cycles that pattern my life? To stretch with clarity, to a point in the future where all will be well and I will be strong is all I can hope for. Knowing that place is near to me keeps me from sinking under the deep blue sea that carries me forward. Health, well being and happiness are all that is, for with these life can be full again.

The Games People Play

Kasparov is charismatic, worldly and optimistic - his latest plan is to use what he has learned from chess to bring genuine democracy to Putin's Russia - yet it was his defeat by IBM's supercomputer Deep Blue in 1997 that marked the sad end of the battle for chess supremacy between men and machine. This has a long history. Way back in the 1770's an Austro-Hungarian baron Wolfgang Von Kempelan, toured Europe with a chess-playing automaton called The Mechanical Turk - although it actually contained a dwarf hidden within a secret compartment.

For all fellow chess players..... I had actually been hoping to find a picture of The Mechanical Turk!

Bath: River Avon Part 1 - Kurt Jackson

http://www.victoriagal.org.uk/index.cfm?UUID=78AF8670-1372-662A-4CE92B638070CCDB

Standing opposite his soul, bared for all to see on canvas. Blank, yet marked how he views the world. Amazing vision of a natural state; kingfishers and smell of fox. Green and vibrant across the open space the images come to me; to us. Opening to see the world in a chaotic yet precise way. Witnessing the process of merging with the River Avon, a beautiful meandering of water and life. I am touched to change and move forward. Just to have the health to be here, I feel privileged.

Where I Live....

Saint Canna
from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Saint Canna was a 6th century mother of saints and eventual nun in south Wales.

Canna was supposedly a Breton princess, the daughter of King Tudur Mawr, nephew of King Arthur[1]. She came to Wales with her husband, Saint Sadurn, and their son, Saint Crallo. Sadurn left her, however, to become a hermit on Anglesey and she remarried and became the mother of Saint Elian Geimiad[1]. However, these details of her early life are known only from the writings of the unreliable Iolo Morganwg.
In later life, she certainly seems to have become a nun and lived at Llangan, Pembrokeshire[1]. She also founded churches at Llangan, Glamorgan where she was deemed important enough to have her image carved into the church cross.
The nearby Ffynnon Ganna, Canna's Holy Well, was a site for pilgrimage for many centuries after her death[2]. Her name also appears as part of two Cardiff suburbs: Canton (English translation of the Welsh Treganna, 'Saint Canna's Town'); and Pontcanna (Welsh for 'Canna's Bridge')[2]. Canna's Feast day is celebrated on the 25 October[1][2].

FLICKERING SOFTLY INTO LIFE....

Carrying inside 12 years of a changed life, a journey beyond comprehension I would ever take. At 24 the world was my oyster and now the candle still burns brightly, a white flame, warm and gentle and free. Time to let go, the past has gone forever. Only the present remains. As the ebb and flow of tides swash turquoise blue waves, I move forward. Threads weave in and out of existence in delicate patterns. Being separate from dreams is excruciatingly painful. Watching the world progress yet existing in slow motion, in and out of reality. Accepting life is different is a huge strain but ease will carry me forward. Conversations and learning of simple truths once forgotten. Treading silent steps in the direction of greater clarity and faith. All is well and peace is mine.
